The Holmes County Education Foundation was created in 1989 by a generous donor with the goal of encouraging further education for the residents of Holmes County. Since 1991, over $12,000,000 has been granted for the betterment of Holmes County youth and adults. This has been accomplished by the awarding of college scholarships, professional development grants, and trade school scholarships. In 2021, the education foundation was expanded to become a community foundation, connecting resources with need to improve the quality of life in Holmes County. In addition to scholarships, we now provide grants for our community. The Holmes County Education & Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. EIN #88-0663552

Thanks to generous donors, the Holmes County Education & Community Foundation has over 80 scholarships available that benefit students seeking college degrees, postsecondary educational opportunities, or skilled-trade certifications. HCECF also offers professional development grants for businesses and organizations.
