Linda L. Angelo
Trustee Linda L. Angelo has served as the Holmes County Board of Education representative for the Holmes County Education Foundation since 1993. A strong advocate for students, she serves on the Foundation's Scholarship Selection Committee. Her experience as both a teacher and administrator within the school system gives her a strong background for her position on the Board of Trustees. She was a resident of Holmes County for over thirty years and an educator in the Holmes County School Systems for over twenty-five years. Linda's experience with and impact on local education is extensive. She was a teacher for ten years, Gifted Coordinator for three years, Curriculum Consultant for ten years, and served as the Federal Programs Coordinator prior to her recent retirement.
James J. McGuire
Trustee James McGuire has been a dedicated advocate for the Holmes County Education Foundation since its inception in 1989. Approved by the Grantor of the trust for his money management experience, he serves as the Foundation's fiscal manager, overseeing the Master Custodian and Investment Managers, ensuring that investments are made and handled according to financial policies and investment strategies agreed to by the Grantor and the Board of Trustees. From 1977-1998, McGuire worked for KeyCorp and predecessor banks in the investment management and trust divisions. With various experience in trust administration and management, his responsibilities included product line management on a national basis for employee benefit plans, daily valuations programs, participant record keeping, master trusts, custody services, union funds, bond services, and shareholder services. After retiring in 1998 as Executive Vice President of KeyBank, NA and as President of KeyCorp Shareholder Services, Inc. (a subsidiary of Key Corp.), he moved on to practice law as "James J. McGuire Co., LLC." He served clients in the areas of trust, investment management, and non-profit organization law. He currently works for the Department of Homeland Security.
Robert D. Rinfret
Judge Robert D. Rinfret currently serves as Common Pleas Court Judge in Holmes County. Rinfret served as the assistant prosecutor for the Holmes County Prosecutor's Office from 2004-2010 and has served as a private-practicing attorney for Rinfret Law Office since 1973. He previously served as the prosecuting attorney for Holmes County from 1984-2004, and as a professor of law at The University of Akron | Wayne College. Rinfret currently serves as a volunteer coach for the West Holmes High School track team and is a founding member of the Holmes County Junior Olympic Track Club. He has also been involved in the Holmes County Rail to Trails Coalition, is a former Holmes County Park District board member, a Holmes County volunteer basketball coach for East and West Holmes elementary school districts, and is a former advisor for the Holmes County Mock Trial Teams. He is married to Rosanne Parrot-Rinfret, who is a West Holmes Middle School teacher. They have three daughters: Dr. Sara Rinfret, professor at the University of Wisconsin; Leah Rinfret, Esquire, Corporate Counsel for Professional Bull Riders, Pueblo, Colorado; Alexis Rinfret-McCoy, Admissions Officer for Beauvoir Private Girls’ School, Washington, D.C.
Michael K. Taylor 
Michael K. Taylor, CPA and Executive VP of Operations with Rea & Associates, Inc. in Millersburg, is a native and resident of Millersburg, OH and received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bowling Green State University. He is involved with various committees and groups, including Holmes County Share-A-Christmas, Holmes County Rails to Trails Coalition, the Holmes County Higher Education Center Advisory Board, and formerly the Holmes County Education Foundation Advisory Board.
Larry Troyer
Larry Troyer is the Vice President of Finance and Administration of ProVia Door. Larry, his wife Esther and family live near Sugarcreek, and are members of the local Amish congregation. Troyer is involved with the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center board, Walnut Hills Retirement Community, Inc. board, and is involved in local health care programs for the Amish. When asked why he was willing to serve on the Foundation board, Troyer stated, “Holmes County is a very unique and close-knit community. In order to maintain that working relationship, we need the future community members and leaders equipped with the necessary education to fulfill the needs of the community from within.”
John R. Waltman
John R. Waltman servesas the Chairman of the Board and as the legal consultant for the Foundation. He has been with Critchfield, Critchfield & Johnston LTD for over 30 years and is a lifetime resident of Holmes County. He is a member of the Holmes County, Ohio and American Bar Associations, Fellowship with the Ohio State Bar Association, and is a Director of the Commercial and Savings Bank. As such, he is "totally dedicated to the people of Holmes County and the assistance the Education Foundation may provide to enhance their lives." |
